Start the Year Off Right!

I have made my New Year's Resolution...just one!  It's easier to keep just one than a whole list.  My resolution?  To look to God and, in so doing, try to be of encouragement to others!

New And Improved - Happy New Year!

The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
    His mercies never cease.
Great is his faithfulness;

 I can tell you that 2016 for my family was not the best year we've had, and we actually couldn't wait for it to be over.  And now, here we are in 2017 with an entire year ahead of us.

 

It is my hope that 2017 is better for us, but it is my prayer that each day will be one we will not waste, but will spend remembering that God has already been through every situation of every day and we have nothing to fear.

 

May your 2017 be NEW and IMPROVED over last year! 

 

Second Chance!

I’ll give you a new heart, put a new spirit in you.

There have been many (many, many, many) times, as I look back on my life, where I have been allowed a second chance.  I, like so many of us, am very prone to screw life up more times than not.  And when a second chance is offered, what a wonderful feeling!

 

I've already made some New Year's Resolutions:

     *     I will not eat asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower.

     *     I will strive to more tolerant of those who dislike meat.

     *     I will strive to be more encouraging.

     *     I will strive to be more positive and optimistic.

 

I may, once again, fail miserably as I have in years past when I made resolutions.  Look at this 1967 Karmann Ghia Convertible.  Someone found it in a barn and restored it, now it has a second chance!    But God offers us second chances!
