Loved Beyond Measure

Ever been told you're not good enough? Me too.

Ever been told you don't fit in? Me too.

Ever been told you are worthless? Me too.

Ever been told you'll never amount to anything? Yep, me too.

And the people who tell us this stuff are LYING!!

Why do we do this to each other?  Believe it or not, every person every to take a breath has a purpose that Abba has designed specifically for them.  No one is worthless. No one!  There are those with whom we'd rather not associate, for whatever reason, but they still have purpose in the plans of Abba.  They are stilled loved by Abba.

Think about this, John 3:16 say "God loved the world (no exceptions) SO much that He sent His only Son." 

Did you catch that? Abba loves us NO EXCEPTIONS! Which means YOU are loved, worthwhile and good enough because you are loved by the very being of love in Abba.  Therefore, take heart, my friend. Talk with Abba about your purpose and let Him love you!

 

"My Child, You Are Loved"

I’ll call nobodies and make them somebodies;
    I’ll call the unloved and make them beloved.
In the place where they yelled out, “You’re nobody!”
    they’re calling you “God’s living children.”

Romans 9:25 

Have you ever been somewhere that you felt out of place?  I have.  I can remember being "the new kid" in school and felt as though I just crashed someone else's Christmas Dinner.  It's not a good feeling.  Throughout our lives, we will experience situations where we feel out of place, as though we don't belong (and might even be told that we don't belong), but there is one place we will ALWAYS belong and we are ALWAYS welcome, no matter who you are and what you've done.  We are ALWAYS welcomed by Jesus!  Not only welcomed but we are loved!

God WILL Rescue You

Say to those with fearful hearts,
    “Be strong, and do not fear,
for your God is coming to destroy your enemies.
    He is coming to save you.”

Isaiah 35:4 

 

You've seen the movies where the young people decide it would be a GREAT idea to go into the middle of nowhere, with scant supplies, where there is no power, and no one knows where they are, and then when the bad guy shows up to kill them, they become fearful and make some REALLY bad decisions.  I remember paying to watch such movies in a theater and eventually found myself wondering what special kind of idiots were these people.

 

But, don't we do many of the same type things?  We tell God, "no need to be concerned about me, I've got this" only to cry out for help later when OUR plans fall apart.  Then it becomes, "help me out of this mess I've made."  So, let me ask you something, and I'm talking to me as well, before we our plans into action do we discuss them with God first or just plow through without a thought?  

 

When things begin to go awry with our plans, we become afraid because we are no longer in control.  And it is usually at this point that we turn to God and cry our for help and rescue.  God, who loves us more than we can ever understand, always comes to our rescue.  Therefore, be strong and do not fear!  

 

How many times does God remind us of this throughout Scripture? Think about it.

 

Self Esteem

I met with a friend, a while back, who was struggling with an issue that is not uncommon...self-esteem.  Believe it or not, how we perceive ourselves will effect our lives in many ways.  Low self-esteem can lead to depression, which has been known to lower the body's ability to fight illness, not to mention all the other products of depression...loss of energy, loss of focus, loss of enjoyment...  Low Self-Esteem is our perception that we have no value, serve no purpose, can't do anything right, feeling not good enough.  

Where do we get that perception of ourselves?  When we believe what others tell us.  I had a boss, many years ago, who seemed to take great pleasure in telling his staff how worthless we were and how we could never do anything the way it should be done.  Guess what?  After a while, we started believing what we were being told.  I chose to leave that job, but some of the others were too beaten down to believe anyone else would hire them.  

But there's good news!!!  God promises that He will ALWAYS love us and be with us.  Jesus reminds us that we are SO loved that God even knows how many hairs we have.  And, let's face it, God made us in HIS image.  And Jesus died for us, which makes us pretty valuable, while we were still messing up!  Not only that, but He rose from the grave....FOR US!  When we realize just how valuable God finds us, we will begin to see ourselves as the children of the KING OF KINGS!
