So don’t make judgments
about anyone ahead of time—before the Lord returns. For he will bring
our darkest secrets to light and will reveal our private motives. Then
God will give to each one whatever praise is due.
1 Corinthians 4:5
I've told you before that I learned quite a lot from my Grampa. One of the nuggets of wisdom he gave me was: "Live the life you want to be remembered by." I've tried to follow that. Haven't always been successful, but I try.
There will come a day when God will open our Book of Life and walk us through it. He will take us through our lives moment by moment. And here's the thing, when God does that, we will no longer be constrained by time and space, so think about what God will read in your Book of Life.
"You learned how to love others. GREAT JOB!"
"You went out of your way to help that person. I AM PROUD OF YOU!"
"You encouraged that person exactly when they needed to be encouraged. THANK YOU!"
Hebrew 6:10 reminds us, "For God is not unjust. He
will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown
your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do."
So I ask you, what will God find written in YOUR Book of Life?
