What Do You Mean "Leave It Behind"?

So then, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; what is old has passed away—look, what is new has come!
2 Corinthians 5:17

I don't know about you, but there have been times in my life where I simply wanted to walk away to a place where no one knew me so I could start over.  When our lives become so complicated that we can't even think straight and we seem to lose focus on the important because of the insistent; when we feel stuck in a rut with no way out; and there are those people who seem to like that we are in a rut so they keep pushing us back in....you just want to get away and start over.

But how can we start over?  Well.....there's good news and then there's the bad news.

BAD NEWS: There are to "start overs" in life!  Once a moment is lived, it cannot be unlived.  Life moves in a single direction, so we don't get any "start overs."

GOOD NEWS: We DO get to have "Start Heres"!  It's not easy; but it can be done.
Let's take a look at a few ways to have a "Start Here."

FIRST, talk to God!  He knows ALL about you (even the stuff you are trying to hide), so talk with Him.  No formal speech, just talk with Him.  Also remember to be quiet and listen too.

SECOND, that guilt, emotional baggage, that anger, that desire for revenge, that greed, that negative mentality....drop it right here and LEAVE IT!  We travel through this life much easier when we travel light!  Drop the heavy stuff that's weighing you down.

THIRD, those people who weigh you down, keep you angry, keep you uptight, that want you to fail, that feed you with negativity...drop them right here and LEAVE THEM!

FOURTH, remember that you are the one that decides what your mind focuses on.  Use your authority and change your focus! Read Philippians 4:8 and repeat this over and over until your mind gets it!  Focus on what is important!  Focus on those who want to see you succeed and want to help you.  We become what we focus on!

If you want a better life....start here!
