Where's Your Focus?

Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.

Colossians 3:2 

 

I am really astounded about some of the things people seem to be obsessed with:

     * politics (they are idiots and wrong while MY candidate is a saint)

     * money (J. Paul Getty was asked how much money was enough.  His response was "One dollar more.")

     * death (we are so focused on death and dying that we forget to live)

     * self (we act as if the only person worth consideration is us)

     * power (I am the ruler and you must do as I say)

     * criticism (if you aren't doing it my way you are wrong!)

 

But what does all that get us?  Nothing but a lot of aggravation and the rest of society ticked off at you.  The Apostle Paul said, focus about the things of heaven.  

 

Jesus said, "Where your treasure is, your heart will be there too" Matthew 6:21.  Yes, we will face many issues in life, but be careful not to let the things of earth steal your heart.
