Endless

Long ago the Lord said to Israel:
“I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love.
    With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.

Jeremiah 31:3 

 

Everlasting.  What a mind blowing concept.  It's difficult for us to actually wrap our minds around something that has no beginning and not ending, isn't it.  Although, I have sat through several classes and meetings that seemed to have no beginning and no end.  

 

I remember as a youth, standing on the beach looking at the ocean and it looked endless.  Then consider that we have yet to delve into the deepest parts of the ocean yet.  But endless and everlasting are concepts we seem to take for granted.

 

God loves us with an EVERLASTING and UNFAILING love for us!  When I tried to fully comprehend that, I just couldn't.  This means that God's love for us does not fail and does not lessen regardless how badly we screw up.  God loves us no matter what!  That is His promise!  I don't know about you, but that makes me want to try to be better, even though I'll never reach the point of perfection this side of Heaven, I still want to be better.

 

God always loves us!  You don't have to take that to the bank because the banks won't be here as long as God love for us will be.
