For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.

I like rescues. Matter of fact, I have found that rescue pets are the most loyal, loving, and grateful companions. Rescues, I'm convinced, know where there life was going and are so happy that they were saved from that fate that they bond themselves with their rescuer.
Now, I am also convinced that God uses ALL of His creations to get His message to us. We are not pets, but consider the parallels. Our lives were headed in the wrong direction and the outcome was not going to be pleasant. Then God rescued us! Through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ, we were saved from that dreadful fate and we were adopted as children of the King of Kings, Creator of Everything! Did you see that? WE are HIS children now!
Shouldn't we be grateful, loving, loyal, and happy? Take just a moment to thank God for rescuing you and adopting you.
